Spots to visit?
Fantastic places for different reasons – here are a few spots I love to lose a couple of hours at, from all around the world, real and web located. First one out is my birth town, and also where I live – Gothenburg in Sweden.
Saltå Kvarn – a company that offers organically grown flours, lenses, etc. with lovely retro packaging design.
Le Papeterie – the most charming paper shop where everything can be made into a creative project – from to-do lists to keep sake boxes. I myself fell in love with this journal, which now awaits memories and notes.
Kvarnen i Hyssna is an old flour mill built in the late 1900´s. It sits right on top of the river, serves fresh food, offers lovely paths for strolling about and experiencing Sweden´s nature almost untouched.
Pretty, isn´t it? My for me, with a faiblesse for the spiritual (read ghosts) I can imagine the feeling at night, with the wood creaking and wind whistling through the walls:
And last but not least: a standing engagement within the family is the annual visit to Läckö Slott.
Every summer there´s a opera set up, and in the small, closed castle court the acoustique is amazing. No matter what seat you end up on you will never get more than ten metres from the orchestra – and you will sit steadily after a three-course dinner in the old stables. After the opera you might want to take a stroll around in the herb garden that overlooks the lake.
That will be the Gothenburg love for today!
